This was a collaborative piece done with a foreign artist. The project speaks to globalization and the blurring of the lines of culture.

This project shows a stop motion dance on a laptop, while the laptop is playing a different stop motion. This was an experimental and innovative process that turned out quite well. The stop motion on the screen can be viewed at the link below and is also worth watching, despite the amateur voice acting.

This project shows a series of still images layered on top of each other and masked to give the illusion of a super zoom. At the end there is a short stop motion segment to illustrate the following quote artistically.

“One night I was sitting on the bed in my hotel room on Bunker Hill, down in the very middle of Los Angeles. It was an important night in my life, because I had to make a decision about the hotel. Either I paid up or I got out: that was what the note said, the note the landlady had put under the door. A great problem, deserving acute attention. I solved it by turning out the lights and going to bed.”
